The production area of the Montasio cheese includes the following:

Friuli Venezia Giulia Region:
the whole territory of the provinces of Udine, Pordenone, Gorizia and Trieste

Veneto Region:
the whole territory of the provinces of Treviso, Belluno and-in part-the provinces of Venice and Padua.
