Montasio DOP is an excellence of Italian gastronomy. It is a cooked, semi-hard cheese with small, uniformly sized eyes over the entire section.
Montasio comes in 4 different ages: fresh, mezzano, mature and stravecchio, each with a particular nuance of flavor.
From 2 months of ripening, Montasio is naturally lactose-free and therefore can be consumed even by people allergic to this sugar.
